It also explains the choices you have about how your personal information is used and how we protect that information.

This Privacy Policy applies to all versions of the Website, including mobile optimized versions and any Mobile Device Applications or “Apps” we may offer.  Unless otherwise specifically indicated, any statements in this Privacy Policy regarding the Website apply to our Apps as well.

References to “Lindsay & Hobson” in this Privacy Policy mean Lindsay & Hobson, LLC as well as any other company that Lindsay & Hobson, LLC controls or owns.  Lindsay & Hobson may share information with other companies that it owns or controls, but information collected under this Privacy Policy is always protected under the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information Collected About You

Some of our interactive tools and services,  may permit you to submit and share health information, which would also be considered Personal Information. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the Personal Information that you submit or share with Lindsay & Hobson. Some of our interactive features or tools do not retain your Personal Information, while others store your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You may also be asked to provide authorization for uses of personal information in addition to what is in this Privacy Policy when you use certain tools, such as providing personal information to a sponsor, if any, of the tool. Lindsay & Hobson will not make any use of your personal information beyond the permitted uses in this Privacy Policy unless you provide such additional consent in connection with the specific tool or feature at the time you submit Personal Information in order to use the tool or feature.  The Website has the ability to use Personal Information that you provide to send you personalized emails or secure electronic messages.

Emails You Send to Us

This Privacy Policy does not apply to information, content, business information, ideas, concepts or inventions that you send to Lindsay & Hobson by email.  If you want to keep content or business information, ideas, concepts or inventions private or proprietary, do not send them in an email to us.

Non-Personal Information

Even if you do not become a registered user or subscriber or provide any Personal Information to Lindsay & Hobson, we collect Non-Personal Information about your use of the Website. “Non-Personal Information” means information that we cannot use to identify or contact you. We may also acquire Non-Personal Information about those who access the Website from external sources.

Cookies and Web Beacons

We collect Non-Personal Information about your use of the Website and your use of other web sites through the use of Cookies and Web Beacons. “Cookies” are small data files that are stored on the hard drive of the computer you use to view a web site. Every computer that accesses the Website is assigned a different Cookie by Lindsay & Hobson. “Web Beacons” are graphic image files imbedded in a web page typically used to monitor activity on a web page and send back to its home server (which can belong to the host site, a network advertiser or some other third party) information from your browser, such as the IP address, the URL of the page on which the Web Beacon is located, the type of browser that is accessing the site and the ID number of any Cookies on your computer previously placed by that server.

Lindsay & Hobson, or others with whom we may contract, may use Cookies or Web Beacons to collect Non-Personal Information about your usage of the Website, including which areas of the Website (pages, labor and delivery terms, topics, etc.) you have viewed.  We, or other third-parties, may make use of this Non-Personal Information to help Lindsay & Hobson deliver advertising on the Website as well as at other places on the Internet based on your browsing activity.

Mobile Device Applications (“Apps”) and Mobile Optimized Sites

When you download and install one of our Mobile Apps onto your mobile device we assign a random number to your App installation. This number cannot be used to identify you personally, and we cannot identify you personally unless you choose to become a registered user or subscriber of the App. We use this random number in a manner similar to our use of Cookies as described in this Privacy Policy. Unlike Cookies, the random number is assigned to your installation of the App itself and not a browser, because the App does not work through your browser. Therefore the random number cannot be removed through settings. If you do not want us to use the random number for the purposes for which we use Cookies, please do not use the Mobile Device Apps.  Because some of the content on our Mobile Device Apps directs your mobile device to the Website you will be exposed to the Cookies that we use and to third party Cookies that may be contained in advertisements that we do not control and will be unable to delete any of these Cookies with your mobile device. Therefore, if you do not want this to occur then you should not use our Mobile Device Apps and, if you use a mobile device to access our Website, then you should set your mobile device to reject Cookies when you use our mobile optimized sites.

If you have questions about how to reject Cookies on your specific mobile device please check with the device manufacturer.
